PAN Application - Form 49A


  • Address Proof must show applicant name & address in English
  • Input same address below as per proof:






  • NRI Applicants do not require Aadhaar Number to apply for PAN card
  • Applicants with India delivery address are considered "Resident" and hence Aadhaar Number is mandatory for India delivery
  • After completing this 49A Application form, you will proceed to verify and pay online
  • UTIITSL / NSDL generally allots PAN Number in 10 working days*
  • Pan Card will be delivered to applicant's address as per address proof document
  • Copy of Indian Passport + One Address Proof as below:
  • Delivery to Overseas address:
    • Required Address Proof (Only one): Driver's Licence, or Utility Bills, or Bank A/c statement, or NRE A/c statement
    • Documents must show applicant's name and exact overseas address in English
  • Delivery to India address :
    • Required Address Proof (Only one): Passport, or Driver's Licence, Electricity Bill, Voter Id, Utility Bill, etc.
    • Copy of Aadhaar must be provided for delivery to India address
    • Documents must show applicant's name and India address in English
  • All proof documents must be self-attested using black ink
  • Use Form 49A to apply PAN Card for an Adult aged 18 years and above
  • If applicant already has a PAN Number allotted, proceed here to change address or name.
  • Applicant will receive clear instructions on email - to paste photo, sign the documents, & send by post to Chennai address
  • UTIITSL / NSDL begin processing PAN application after submission of supporting documents
